Two Years to Go: Private Sector Rallying Behind Invictus Games Birmingham 2027

Today marks exactly two years to go until the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, and organisers are proud to say the journey to the Games is well underway, with strong momentum, and a clear vision for what lies ahead.

As planning accelerates and excitement builds, the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 team is also celebrating significant commercial success as 11 organisations have already pledged over £4 million in support.

This significant commitment from leading corporations and private partners marks a powerful vote of confidence in the Invictus Games and the mission it represents - delivering a world-class sporting event with long-lasting impact.

“It shows that the values of Invictus Games resonate deeply with those who have the power to shape impact at scale,” Vicky Gosling, Chair of the Board of Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 commented, “We’re not just building a sporting event, we’re building a platform for rehabilitation, education, and community connection. This support puts that vision firmly in motion.”

The Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 will welcome wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans from around the world to the West Midlands, celebrating the power of sport in recovery. The support announced today will play a critical role in the Games’ delivery and its broader Social Impact Programme – which focuses on utilising the Invictus Games to strengthen community engagement, develop recovery pathways, and create opportunities for collaboration across sectors.

The announcement comes at a pivotal moment in the Games’ development, as planning intensifies and anticipation continues to grow. With two years to go, whilst this enthusiastic support from the private sector signals the Invictus Games spirit is being embraced by a wide and diverse network of supporters, the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 team are encouraging more organisations, businesses, and individuals to get involved and join the journey towards what promises to be a landmark global event.

“Whether you're a large business leader, a local SME or simply someone who believes in what the Invictus Games stands for - there is a place for you in this movement,” added Helen Helliwell, CEO of Invictus Games Birmingham 2027. “Together, we have the opportunity to deliver something amazing”.
